MWSA Site Blogs

A bit about the MWSA website "blog" feature.

MWSA Blogs

The MWSA Blogs are not your existing personal blogs.

All MWSA "site authors" (reviewers, contributors, editors) can now have MWSA-related blogs on the new site.

You can include links to external sites by typing a full URL. For example, http://www.tameri.com/wordpress would automatically become a link to my blog on writing.

Blogs now support "Amazon ASIN" lists. If you blog about a book (yours or not), you can include the ten-digit ASIN(s) for automatic links to the MWSA Amazon Store.

Tags can be a bit tricky on the site. You can select more than one tag using the shift, control, or "command" keys on most computers We did test the tags as checkboxes -- but the list was three pages long! I know people love the "open tag" model, but I believer users will love the fact every tag/keyword links to related articles, blogs, profile, and reviews.

You can insert some images and you can format the text in all sorts of ways. Just remember, simple entries load faster and are easier to search.

Blogs are Moderated

There is a "Moderator" rank among users. The "Moderator" can delete inappropriate materials from forums or blogs. I don't know which members are moderators, but this is an important role. It is a shame we need it, but some language and content is likely to be considered "banned" from the site.
