My husband, Captain W. Stewart (Bud) Orr, USN (ret) and I have our book, Love at First Flight - Adventures, Exploits, Sacrifices, Risks & Rewards published by Astor & Blue.  The book contains stories of historical significance that cross boundaries in time to provide a glimpse of vietnam forward as the progeny of WWII generation matures.

For men who love action stories, where men appear fearless, have multiple faults, can laugh at themselves, endure failed marriages and have steamy romances while hoping that ultimately a relationship will work.  Women will love the story of a bad boy tamed by the love of a woman, and men will vicariously thrill to the undaunted daring and daily challenges faced by carrier pilots.  Love at First Flight will alternately tug at the heart or have the reader holding onto the edge of a chair, compelled to experiece the next riveting adventure.

Senator John McCain said, "Love at First Flight chronicles a generation of flying stories of one aviator and his wife...Throughout this compelling book you will come to know the fraternity of carrier pilots and the women they love.  The story unfolds with the roar of engines, the anticipation of flight, the catapult shot, the flight and then the landing aboard the aircraft carrier.

For anyone interested in how opposites attract, Love at First Flight is a must read.  While on a blind date, Bud met Fran, the woman worth pursuing, a woman who seemed to be his polar opposite.  They form an unlikely union coming from opposing childhoods, yet the chemistry between them prevailed.  The courtship climaxes with their wedding aboard the USS Enterprise, in the Philippines and the Captain of the ship gives her away.  Stand by for an exciting ride, a ride where you will go from zero to one hundred and fifty miles an hour in two and one-half seconds.
