Hi Website Testers...

I'm testing this function of being able to send everyone who has signed up to receive "newsletters" (which is Drupal's way of saying an email). While testing, I thought I would share a few new things.

I've been going out and putting something in your "activities" file so that when you now go to the site and log in, you should see "My activities" to the right of "My account" on the top right of your screen. Be sure to go out and add your information there.

Chris has added ten of the award-winners to the front of the Amazon store (we can only put 10 at a time there so we will be rotating...you CAN search for other MWSA books though.)

Chris has added a new function which shows MWSA books on Amazon. When you click on Amazon store under the Navigation Menu, you will see a second link...called "Members on Amazon."  This comes from your profile...and that way each member can control how quickly his/her book is posted...and that's separate from the review process. I think this is great and it empowers our members and especially is something that will encourage our new members.

We have started adding instructions for various things that folks have asked about in the Handbook about Website. If anything is confusing, please let me know and we'll add a document there as well. I just finished one on how to add photos/videos based on some feedback, for example.

Also, next week, I want to start adding articles for the new online Dispatches. Those of you who want to submit something, please get in touch with me. Those of you who will be editors, please get comfortable with the site and get back to me when you are ready and I'll have Terry update your permissions.

Kathy Rowe is the only person to use the "Member News" feature. Don't hesitate to let us know when you are launching a book or when you get a new contract or when something special happens to you. As a member, this is your site. Please use it...and reach out to your fellow members.
