Simple tech tip: record interviews (with permission) instead of relying on shorthand or typed notes. Even if you know Gregg or another shorthand style, you'll find that recorded interviews include things you missed. Today's cell phones offer digital recording apps, if you don't want to buy a digital voice recorder. (I use a Sony recorder, but am saving up for an Olympus that is good enough to record podcast segments on the road.)
