May 8, 1942, the Battle of the Coral Sea pitted the U.S. Navy against the Imperial Japanese Navy in the first epic sea battle of WWII. It also marked the first time two large navy fleets fought a decisive battle without ever coming into visual range of each other. Kieth captures it all in Stay the Rising Sun.
