'Tempest of Fire' nominated for Award of Excellence

I learned yesterday that 'Tempest of Fire' was nominated by thechristianmanifesto.com for their 2013 Lime Award for Excellence in Fiction. Last year, 'Red Sky at Morning' received the same nomination--and was the only debut novel in its category. I'm hopeful that this will be the year for 'Tempest'!

Work proceeds on the third book in the series; more on that later.

Until then, here's the link to the 5 Star review:

Today's greatest dilemma: retaining our dignity as we age. With baby boomers sandwiched between their "me" lifestyle and aging parents, nursing homes are filling up with a forgotten generation. In his debut novel, John Ciarlo writes a deeply moving love story about an aged couple determined to live life their way while frustrating their dysfunctional family and local authorities.
