My name is John Schrank, and I am a Vietnam Veteran.
My father was in WW2 France to Germany. He was in the Army and a T Sgt. who worked in the motor pool with munitions. He didn't talk about it... My wife's brother did two tours of duty in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. After he retired, he worked for the Kennedy Center in Washington doing security work.
Not just another war story it is the story of the amazing rescue operations carried out by helicopter pilots during Vietnam and the raid on the Son Tay POW Camp...

My former publisher passed away on January 1, 2015, in Oceanside, CA. The day after his passing, I reflect on what this man did for my writing career. Before 2008, I was a longtime freelance writer with multiple credits in national publications. But my one dream…the dream that seemed to elude me for nearly two decades…was to get my first novel into the hands of a traditional publisher, i.e., a publisher who believed in my work enough to invest time and money into my work.
