Poetry

trapped within

trapped within

the mind can be a delightful place of rest,
solitude and reflection.

the vastness of its architecture, the shifting of
its oscillating thought patterns

a virtual pinball machine
bouncing between the triangle of my existence

depression, fear, an infestation of doubt

doubt – that blocks my souls ability to balance
itself into any form of rhythm, beauty…sanity

I taste the flavor of death, watch the parade of faces

Just Imagine...

Just Imagine...

Imagine your own death, just imagine…

Seeing your body, lifeless in a coffin…

Just the thought of it would probably give you a heart attack;

Beware! The treachery of death is not an innocent prank!

Do you look pretty darn good in that cold casket?

Are you wearing your favorite color or outfit?

Have they covered your pale face with much make-up

Simply to conceal the kind of life that geared you up?

Wishing for Rain

so many words left unsaid,
like raindrops falling from the sky,
to numerous to count

so much time we had
we could talk whenever we wished

tonight there is no rain and I find myself
wishing you were holding me

I spoke a thousand words to you today
and wondered if you heard them
or were they like un-danced songs

if I screamed I love you…..would it rain again
would I hear your words
or feel only your tears as
they fell from the sky mixing with mine
