MWSA Review
Air Force spouse and professional organizer Ellie Avery should be calmly approaching this Christmas season, enjoying a holiday in which her husband is home (rather than deployed) and available to help with parties, events, school treats, and the children’s Nativity play.Instead Ellie finds herself embroiled in a public fracas with a newly arrived professional organizer who is undercutting Ellie’s business and stealing her clients. When she discovers the body of the rival organizer’s sister, Ellie is immediately suspected of the murder because the corpse is dressed in the rival’s clothing.
The fast paced mystery zigzags through the days approaching the holiday and follows Ellie as she tracks down the murderer in between taking care of children, pets, neighbors, and her now failing business. The clues are all there, but will keep you guessing until the end. In the meantime, you get a glimpse into the inner workings of a military family.
Mistletoe, Merriment, and Murder is the seventh book in the Ellie Avery mystery series by Sara Rosett. It’s a fun, fast read and something that will get you in the spirit of holiday celebrations.
