Temporary Suspension of Book Reviews

Due to a reorganization of the MWSA book review program, effective immediately no new books will be processed for reviews until January 15, 2016. All books currently in the system will be reviewed, though the turnaround time is going to be a little longer than normal.

I apologize for the inconvenience this will cause, but it is necessary in order to establish and work out the revised book review program to make it run smoothly. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Should you have any questions, you may contact me at: djonzimmerman@earthlink.net.

2014 Conference update: MWSA IS NOW A 501 (3) (c)!

Had a great day yesterday! Lots of activity--topped off by the Buckaroo auction! To those who have been to the conference in the past, that's one of the two big highlights (the other being the awards ceremony, of course) and it was an uproarious hoot! We had a bunch of great prizes, including books, editorial and cover design services, 5 mystery boxes that winners opened to find they'd won Kindles, iPads, and Amazon gift cards, and more!

2014 Conference preview

Arrived at sunny Phoenix where temperature was in the 90s. First noteworthy sight was that of Lt. Frank Luke's Spad (probably a replica). Luke, a local boy, became famous in WWI as the Balloon Buster. He received a posthumous Medal of Honor for his heroics. The Holiday Inn & Suites Airport North is a great facility! People have been arriving throughout the day. Founder Bill McDonald, past president Joyce Faulkner, lead reviewer Jim Greenwald, and a number of others.
