MWSA Review
An excellent addition to the Cutler Family Chronicles series, A Call to Arms is a superbly written novel. While I would recommend this book to anyone, author William Hammond has produced another gem for those who enjoy historical fiction, and especially for those readers who enjoy historical novels about the U.S. Navy. In this book, Richard and James Cutler find themselves in the Mediterranean Sea during the first Barbary War, and Hammond weaves his fictional tale into actual history in such a way I kept wondering if the story might be true. Hammond creates great settings and combines them with a truly engrossing story.
