Facebook to MWSA Forums
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Way back when, we had this grand idea that if we created a Facebook page, we could reach a larger audience and introduce them to our cool new website. Well... we certainly reached the audience, but we still lack members getting involved with the MWSA website and forums.
We've recently undergone more renovations at the website to make it more user friendly without being too overwhelming.
So much good information is shared on Facebook and lost in the trenches days later. We want the information you share to get sorted and saved in a more efficient manner. The time has come to really encourage each of you to start sharing through your MWSA blog posts and the forums. Not only will the information you share be saved in the right areas on the forums, but it also bumps your name (and MWSA) up on the search engines - whereas the search engines rarely pick up Facebook posts.
A few members have stepped up to help launch some of these ventures. I am asking each of you to please help us create some of the best places to go to for resources by participating through these forums. There is a pinned message on our Facebook page with the areas we will be focusing the daily discussions. I will list them here as well.
MARKETING MONDAYS – where we discuss various marketing tools and techniques
TECHNICAL TUESDAYS – discuss technical changes to things like Amazon and other programs we use... all things technical...
WACKY WEDNESDAY REVIEWS – sharing the best, the worst, the cutest, the stupidest, seeking advance reviews for new releases, etc..., all things review related...
THOUGHTFUL THURSDAYS – where writing prompts and discussions are presented to improve our craft
FREEDAY FRIDAY – this will be the ONLY day to list when your book is going to be offered free (be sure to post it on the MWSA calendar too)!
SHARING SATURDAYS – share articles, events, awards and other announcements – push folks to post them in the MWSA Calendar and/or their personal MWSA blogs
SUPER SUNDAY PROMOTIONS – announcements, review copy requests,
We all realize this will not be an easy transition, but we are 100% confident it will be worth the effort to making it work, and we hope you will be respectful of each other during the process.
We look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and improve together.
Thank you.
