MWSA Review
In Survivor Love Thy Enemy, author James Dennison tells an entertaining tale of a young soldier’s experiences in the Viet Nam war, and how those experiences changed him forever. Arriving as an infantry soldier in Viet Nam in 1967, Dennison’s protagonist spent most of his next eight years in Viet Nam. The first half of that period he served in combat positions with the infantry and then a special operations team before moving into a staff position in Army intelligence. The last few years he spent in Viet Nam, he served outside the Army with the Peace Corps and other international relief organizations. The story sets forth the harsh realities of the war, and in its midst spins in a story of love and survival. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about the US military in times of war.
