University of Akron Veterans Week

The University of Akron has invited me to participate in several activities during their annual salute to Veterans Week.
On Friday, November 8th I will be facilitating a creative writing class for Veterans and will be interviewed for a four-part syndicated radio program titled Rock and Recovery that promotes healing through writing and other creative outlets.
On Monday, November 11 I will be presenting the openng comments for the Akron University Veterans Day Breakfast and at 7:30 p.m. I will provide the keynote presentation at the E.J. Thomas Hall Stage Door. The talk is titled: How Can You Mend This Purple Heart--A Veterans Journy of Healing and Redemption. It's free and open to the public.
