MWSA Review
In her book, Mind Games, K. Rowe successfully mixes mystery, suspense and thrills as she brings her readers along for the ride.
Mind Games was engaging; a real page-turner at times. The author expertly handled the sex scenes tastefully, ensuring honesty without vulgarity. The Sci-Fi apparel and equipment in Mind Games was credible; not at all far-fetched, and quite intriguing. The situations in which the team found themselves were authentic and riveting. There were no "escape hatch" solutions, which I appreciate. The author successfully created a realistic and fascinating substance in the explosive material. Not only does she leave her readers a tad paranoid, the plausibility of terrorists creating such a destructive tool is all too real.
Mind Games flows fluidly from armed conflicts on the field of battle to verbal and emotional conflicts at home base. K. Rowe expertly lays out the clues and solutions, but never forces them on the reader. The continuity
and constant comradery of the team members may have appeared a tad improbable regarding the high stress factor of such a unique Special Forces team, but all characters were likeable and human.
