I was born in Chicago, Illinois, in October 1923 and became a member of the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) from 1944 to 1946.
I was a WAC and part of a special project for the Women in Military Service for America Foundation (WIMSA), serving in the hospitals with returning wounded soldiers during World War II.

My name is Dane Kaimuloa, and I am a U.S. Army Veteran.
I started in 1984 out of high school joined the U.S. Navy and completed 4 years of active duty. But I had to get out in 1988, because my dad died and my mom was all alone. So I did navy reserve for a few years. I later joined the national guard in 2002 and went active in 2005. I was medically discharged with the U.S. Army in 2009.
