'Tempest of Fire' nominated for Award of Excellence

I learned yesterday that 'Tempest of Fire' was nominated by thechristianmanifesto.com for their 2013 Lime Award for Excellence in Fiction. Last year, 'Red Sky at Morning' received the same nomination--and was the only debut novel in its category. I'm hopeful that this will be the year for 'Tempest'!

Work proceeds on the third book in the series; more on that later.

Michael Byars Lewis, author of SURLY BONDS, was covered in the AIR FORCE TIMES recently.  The article was written by Jeff Mullin of the Enid News and subsequently picked up by the Associated Press wire and published nationwide.  The MILITARY TIMES picked up the story and it was covered in all four of its online publicaitons, AIR FORCE TIMES, ARMY TIMES, MARINE CORPS TIMES, & NAVY TIMES.
