MWSA Review

Nazi Germany is the setting for Camp Angels. Reminiscent of the story of Oskar Schindler or the “Sound of Music,” author James Curry relays a tale of intrigue, suspense, and bravery inside a concentration camp. Edward Weinstein leads a group of young Jewish actors who pose as Nazi doctors sent to conduct experiments on select prisoners. In fact, they use this ruse to transport whole families to freedom right before the eyes of the commandant and his staff. The troop’s bravery is tested on multiple occasions as they are challenged about their actions or military protocol. Usually brazen threat supported by their skills as actors help them win the day.

Camp Angels is a quick read. It seems ready for adaption to the screen or stage. It is recommended for fans of drama and historical fiction.
