Pages of the Past bookstore specializes in history books but also features a section of historical fiction. During the 150th anniversary of the battle of Gettysburg, they will host their first fiction author, Jocelyn Green, who will sign her newest book: Widow of Gettysburg. Its the story of the civilians who triumphed over tragedy after the battle turned their world upside down.

Where was God at Gettysburg? Come hear how faith played a role with troops on both sides of the battle, as well as with the civilian townspeople who were caught in the crosshairs. Award-winning author Jocelyn Green will rely on primary source materials she discovered while researching her novel Widow of Gettysburg. Joining her will be special guest Denise Doyle, chief operating officer of the Seminary Ridge Museum in Gettysburg. Doyle will offer  a 20-minute presentation on the battle history, as well as a door prize of a free tour of the cupola at the Seminary Ridge Museum.

In his first work, Justin Jordan details life as an Air Force Mortuary Non Commissioned Officer. Jordan holds nothing back, and shares in graphic detail how he honored America’s heroes, both at deployed locations and stateside. Jordan also shares how this job taxed his mental well-being.
