Challenge to MWSA members

Hi everyone, please consider the purpose mission of MWSA. We want to perserve history and support our military...this group is about writing...and supporting each other's efforts as authors...not venting about politics or defaming fellow Americans...and that includes our government...and people from the "other" party.

In 1995, I started to do research and interviews of families who had lost a loved one in the Vietnam War, and after 18 months, I was able to publish my first volume of, "The Faces Behind The Names".  The book is #517 pages, hard bound, sewn, 8 1/2 x 11 ", with an Award winning 4-colour dust jacket, profiling #414 men who lost their lives.  It has bios, photos, and statements from family members and friends that will bring tears within the first five bios.  It has been purchased by many American Legion Posts and VFW Posts and donated to local high school libraries.  Historical Societies and

MWSA authors report on their trip to Italy and Spain

Hi everyone, 

This year, we were contacted by Richard Aubry, a Naval Librarian in Italy, who had received a grant to bring authors to bases in Italy and Spain. Mr. Aubrey wanted to know if we had any members who would be interested in their program that is known as "Author on Deck." I nominated nine members. Mr. Aubrey and his committee evaluated the nine and selected two -- our author of the year for 2012, Jack Woodville London and multi-award winning novelist and biographer, Del Staecker.
